Trying to transfer from North Carolina to Glendale community college

  1. I'm attending second semester of ADN program in North Carolina.
My hubby just got a letter from Midwestern University few weeks ago. We decided to move to Arizona this summer.

I'm trying to transfer to glendale community college.
Does anybody go to GCC now?
I recognize that they require NET exam. But, I can't be there til this July or August. Should I take the test even though I'm a nursing student now?

Actually I have many questions regarding the trasfer. I left a message to a nursing advisor, but I haven't got any return call yet.
If anybody know her/his email address, please let me know. I really appreciate it.

Also, if anybody know about the process of transfering, please give me advice. I need HELP~~~~

I'm really looking forward to be a Arizona RN soon. and, I miss palm trees and hot wheather~
    Many thanks in advance.

I graduated from Glendale a little over a year ago. Guess what, that advisor is not going to call you back. You need an appointment to talk to her and even people that live her have a hard time talking to her. Well.......she might call back, but I would bet not.

You might have to wait until you move here in July or August to try to get into the third block at Glendale.:trout:

I wouldn't recommend GCC either. Even though I got my prereqs done there, I chose not to go there for Nursing school and I'm so glad I made that decision. Mostly due the alot of reasons, one of them being the problem that you're having with them. Two other colleges I could recommend are Phoenix College and especially Estrella Mountain Community College. It's smaller, but has a friendly, helpful atmosphere. And most important, the instructors work WITH you.
Hope this helps ,as I joined Allnurses specifically to answer your post. Although I've been reading it for awhile now I was never inspired to answer somebody.
I think Allnurses is a great and I consider it as a learning tool for my education.
    Good luck!
