Start working on a CEP program ASAP. Associates degrees in nursing are being phased out. Soon there will be no spots available to those seeking that degree.

I already have and I am only 2 classes away from being able to apply. But unfortunately I am military and can not come back to Arizona at the time. So until that time I am on the waitlist.

Make the most of your two year wait on the list. I suggest taking the corequesites if you still need to and you can do prereqs for the BSN too. There is enough time while you wait.

My initial plan was to go through MCC and then bridge to a BSN with ASU. The wait list ****** me off. A "C" student could get into the program before me when I worked my butt off to get "A's". Their system is flawed. I decided to go directly to ASU or GCU. I was lucky and got into ASU. It is 5x as expensive as the MCC would have been, but I get to start right away. Soon there will only be CEP programs which means no wait list. It will all be academically based. Right now, I will probably already have my BSN before I get accepted into the Maricopa program.

My timestamp for 08/10/12 is 08:00:08 am. I will be applying for the CEP as soon as I finish up the last few classes.

My time stamp is 10/08/2010 @ 8am. Still waiting of course. I called recently (I think July) and was told that there are approx 100-200 people are waiting for each month; so considering this and the fact that they place approx 378 applicants I figured I wouldnt get picked until about Spring or Summer 2013... That would mean I would be waiting over approx 2.5 years! I am a military spouse so while we move around it doesn't matter, but I am also in the same predicament as lovebug4002 as it would be ideal to do the RN BsPSN thru CEp.. I am unable to attend the "required" CEP info session and was just made aware of the NURS courses you already had to have in order to qualify...which I don't have due to the military among not being able to attend the info sessions ect... it's pretty late now and I don't know where I will be living in Nov this year (military move) so I will just stick with the ASN route for now.Good luck to all hoping to get in next run!

Being military and trying to go into nursing is extremely hard. I am currently in Cali/San Diego but can't start a program here because they will not accept my classes. They want me to retake my classes, and that just isn't going to happen. Plus we will be moving again next year, so I will not be able to finish the program here. I already have a Bachelors so when it comes to just going to GCU or ASU again that isn't an option for me since I will be paying for this degree out of pocket. The only remaining classes I have to take in order to apply for the CEP are FON 241 and Microbiology. But I too am unable to get back to Arizona to attend an info session on the CEP. So until we are in a place for longer than 2 years I am waiting it out, being military it's what I have to do.
