Okay, so this is somewhat of a redundant post, but i just have to ask.
Planning on moving to Phoenix by Dec. from Cali (too expensive).
I'm a new RN with only about 3 months experience.
The problem is, i don't want to wait for the next new grad program to roll around (most likely Jan.) before I can start working.
Sooo, does any one know of any good hospitals that will accept me as is and just put me through the standard dept. orientation and training.
I did a job search
on JCL website and they are requiring 0-6 mths experience. Tried reaching a nurse recruiter at North Mountain but he/she was unavailabe.
I also would like to know how afforable houses are on a nurse's salary.
Could i afford a 300K house comfortably?
Which hospitals pay the highest for new nurses? Do some of the hospitals offer relocation assistance?
I know there is no mandate on RN to patient ratios in Arizona, so how many pts. should i be expecting to care for on a MedSurg floor? Currently, I care for between 4 and 5 pts. on any given day.
Are there some employers that will be willing to do a phone interview being that I'm based in Cali?
Sorry guys for bombarding you with all these questions. I'm just so clueless.
BTW i've heard that Arizona is a "right to work" state. What does that mean?
thanks for you responses!!!:wink2:
