Mesa CC/Boswell Nursing Option

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

I was wondering if anyone has information on whether the Boswell program will still be a valid choice since they are now Banner? I know everything is still fresh with Banner taking over, but I am unsure how that program will work now. Any information will be helpful.

Ive been accepted to the Mesa CC Boswell Fall 09 Nursing Program. Does anyone know what the schedule will be for block one this fall?

I recv'd an email from my instructor with a tentative schedule for the Fall Boswell program. I know that there are two different groups, so don't take my word as gospel.

It looks like our "school time" including clinicals will be Monday 830-4, Wednesday, & Thursday 7-4 respectively - adjustments seem to be made for the holidays that fall on any given Monday. Towards the end of the semester there are a couple of 4 day weeks. I really hope this schedule holds true... when I looked at my schedule on the my.maricopa.edu website, it also included Fridays. So I'm not positive. I know it will get cleared up at orientation, but I'm a HUGE plan ahead type person so I emailed my teacher to clarify the schedule they emailed.

I can't wait to meet everyone! I'm so excited yet nervous at the same time.

Hey guys!

Whew! MAde it to Blcok 3 starting August 2009. I'm excited that we start Med-Surg then OB/Peds....So how is everyone feeling so far about MEsa-Boswell? I'd like to know because I can tell you I have a lot of things to say...More good than bad though...:-)

I just got a notification that I have been placed to the Boswell nursing.. I am so excited!!!

Does anyone know the best place to live at? Would it be better to live in Peoria or Glendale? Please let me know thanks!!!

Hey Everyone!

I got into the MCC @ Boswell and was wondering if anyone had received the information packet? Please let me know... or if anyone has an idea when we might be receive the packet? I work from 8 to 5 MF and I usually go to lunch at 12pm and that's usually when they go to lunch as well so I can't seem to get a hold of anyone.

Please let me know! Thanks!

I was placed in the Fall 2010 Boswell program too. I still havent recieved my packet either, but I read somewhere that some schools do not send out the packets until everyone has returned their intent letters. I know the last round was sent out on the 21st of April. We may get something soon.

Is anyone starting block 3 Lpn to Rn accelerated program at Mesa-Boswell?

what block are you starting?

Have you seen the book list @ http://www.bannerhealth.com/NR/rdonlyres/389988A5-9A43-4F28-BCFA-074D8F1A9A9D/47348/Blk1NUR151BOOKLISTFall106810.pdf?

It doesn't say if the electronic version of the book is a requirement.. are you buy any chance buying all the books and getting the electronic version as well?

I'm just a little confuse because I don't know if I should buy all those book in an electronic form....

Thanks!

How does everyone like the ebooks?

In my block one class, no one even used the e books. If you think about it, unless the book is on your hand held device for quick reference during clinicals then you may as well use your book. I don't know.... its up to you as to whether you're more comfortable reading on your lap top or if you'd rather have a book in hand. Personally, I like flipping through the book. Lol. Anyway, good luck.
