Maricopa Wait List Question

Hello, (I hope this is the right place to post) I was wondering if anyone could tell me or approximate where I might be on the waiting list. My time/date stamp is 12/09 8:03, and I've filled out all five choices. I think there were about 2100 people on the waiting list then. And does the 3 to 4 semester wait count summer semester, or only fall and spring semesters?

Also, I didn't want to spend the next year or so not taking any nursing classes, since I've done all my pre-reqs and co-reqs. Are there any CNA courses starting in the summer, I might apply to?

Just an FYI: I have been on the Maricopa County Community College Nursing Waiting list for 18 months so far. My date and timestamp is 02/19/2010 08:06:18AM. They are telling me that there is a very small chance I could get called for the Spring 2012 semester; however, most likely it will be fall 2012. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that it may be a little longer than you anticipated. In the meantime, (because all of my pre-req's and co-req's are finished already) I took the CNA course at Paradise Valley Community College last fall so I can get some experience in the medical field. :) Strongly recommend it.

It depends when you applied, they're saying that those applying now can expect to wait about 6 semesters.

My stamp date is August 19, 2011. I know I am going to wait for a while. Just curious on how long the wait has acutally been?

Not to be the bearer of bad news to you guys, but those who are thinking you will get a chance of getting a spot for 2/2010 for FAll 2012, Think again. I don't mean to tear down your hopes, but it seems that basically each few 2 month block, gets in each semester. I applied back in July 2009, and time stamped for 10/16/09 and I'm still not in, however they did fill most of the Aug/ 09 in Fall 2011, so that means us Oct group have the first shot at spring 2012, and then dec, and then Feb, so more like a year from now. It is taking much longer then they will have told you. Good luck!! I'm anxioulsy awaiting for Octs numbers so I can pick for Spring, and I'm hoping to be able to get my first choice.

You will wait about 3 years or longer. I've been waiting for 2 years and still haven't been placed for 2012... :(

Thanks for the information! I pretty much expect to wait, so I am just trying to be patient. It at least is teaching me to just go with it and wait it out. In due time, things will come :)

Don't give up...I have the same date stamp as you...they told me probably not until fall, but I just got a letter last week! Yea me!! I was pleasantly surprised...so happy to finally be starting! I got in a PVCC...

Continuation of above message...... the funny thing was...I only had 4 choices on my list, and I decided to put 1 more choice, PVCC.... and thats the one that I got accepted to.
