  1. Hello Tucson Nurses.
I need help in finding employment. Had a problem was alcohol and now license is on probation. Sober now for almost 32 months. Does anyone know of facilities that are nurse recovery friendly? I have a few restrictions, like no nights, agency or travel, but I do not have a narcotic restriction, since I did not abuse drugs. Please, I could really use any ideals/tips on where to start my search. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks so much in advance.

My guess would be to just start to apply at several different places.

I am unaware of any that are specifically "recovery friendly".

What side of town do you live on, or what hospital were you considering first?

    I would think anywhere.

Have you looked at behavioral type hospitals/clinics like Banner Behavioral and Value Options? Might be a good place to get your feet back on the ground.

We don't have those places here-to my knowledge. Well, we have psych clinics, but maybe the ones you listed are more 'recovery friendly' than the average clinic?

    Multi-I preferred your first answer!

To the OP, what type of nursing do you do and how experienced are you?

Sierra Tucson in Oro Valley has been there a long time. I understand Andrew Weil is associated with another facility.

I should also add that those facilities are almost always run by folks that have had addiction problems so they are very recovery friendly.
