Is it time to leave Arizona?

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

I have a decision to make shortly...do I leave Arizona for Colorado? I love the hospital I work for here, but that's the only thing keeping me in Arizona any longer. I've found a job in Colorado, so I guess it's time to say goodbye and part my ways with Arizona. Arizona used to be a great state to live in, and now it has deteriorated so much.

I would like to say the hospital I was suppose to go out on decided to book a flight, car, and hotel and cancel it three days later. They must have a ton of money they hire travelers and such and then just cancel trips. You can't trust anyone these days with jobs. I guess no matter where you are they play games.

Good luck.

dance4life - why don't you try Florida? I hear there are still a lot of jobs out that way. Arizona is going to be a tough state to find a job in because of the cuts to AHCCCS that just took place. I believe that Arizona will go through another period of hiring freezes like we did in 2008.

I am broke and need someone to pay for my relocation. It is hard to find online without any networks.

Thanks for the information.

Tucson Medical Center is having a job fair this month for Nurses...here is the link I saw in the news

I don't work at TMC...but if they are having a job fair, then that means they are hiring. I would look at their website and submit and application today if you can.

University Medical Center is where I work at...they may have some job openings too. Rumor is is that they are opening another unit.

Google University Medical Center Tucson.

lol, I did travel nursing and when I moved back to MA in 08 no one would hire me, deemed me a "job hopper". I worked for a nursing home for a few months until my son was diagnosed with Autism. I do work for Nursefinders right now, but they have no given me any assignments as I just had help from my nursing instructors networking to get my CPR car for free. I am low-income it is quite sad. I am awaiting to be homeless next. I just hope I get some hours from this agency. I am trying to be positive but I don't deserve this I use to work in the ICU. Been a RN since 05.

Lake Havasue Regional hospital is hiring

Tucson is a great place to live, however, hard to find employment.

Worked a contract in Tucson last summer and loved it. Hot, Hot and Hot, love every minute of it and will go back in a heart beat. Years ago I worked in Phoenix, but not the small town atmosphere as Tucson. Tucson is spread out, easy to navigate, friendly people and many "things" to do. Don't hesitate to go there and experience many wonderful nature offerings, they are plentiful.
