Hi all!

So the MCCDNP site says "Spring capacities choice change options should become available late in September."

Well, I called today to see when they are expecting to release the choice options because it's already getting pretty late in September - they told me late OCTOBER! :banghead:

Pushing back the date and picking 2 months before nursing school starts seems a little unprepared and unorganized to me.

Well that is frustrating, but it makes more sense since it said it would update AFTER the October cohorts were placed. I've been checking the board every day to see if it was updated. Would be nice if they gave us correct information, but they know we are at their mercy.

That doesn't surprise me, and falls right in with everyone having to wait until NOVEMBER for the financial aid we should have received in August. It really worries me that no one down there can get their heads out of their butts. (I'm not talking about student workers, more on an executive level)

I also called and was told placement wouldn't occur for spring until sometime in late October. I've been on the waiting list since July 07 and will just be excited to get accepted, so I don't have to keep logging onto the Maricopa counties website everday. It doesn't seem like updating the website with accurate information is a priority for anyone over there. But I guess we just have to wait and be patient. Hopefully we'll all be placed in this run. Let's all keep our fingers crossed. Good Luck!

i actually called today to ask a few questions about placement and they told me they will release the school options on october 21st and probably pick 2 weeks after that.

he also informed me that pvcc only has 10 openings to the public for spring semester!!!

This is from the Nursing program website.

"System maintenance in preparation for spring '09 placement is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3rd. Spring program choices will be available for selection Friday evening. First placement run for spring is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21."

July '07 huh? You will most likely get in for Spring : )

What schools are you choosing?

My first choice is actually Phoenix Community College. I was going to choose Rio, but I;ve heard that their graduates are having a hard time finding jobs in the nursing field. I think PC, Estrella, and Boswell will be my top three. What about you?

The Spring 2009 info is up on the website!!! :yeah: Now let's just cros our fingers, pray and hope for the best...:D.
