Do you know which classes they calculate your GPA from? Is it just the pre-reqs for entry into block 2? or the additional pre-reqs for block 3? or the co-reqs required for graduation? if you have all of the above do they just calculate all of the classes you've taken?

Are you wanting to apply for the CEP or are you waiting until your turn is up for the waitlist?

Are you currently in a nursing program? The way the CEP program works is that you CAN'T transfer in. It is only available to people who get on the Maricopa nursing waitlist. Once you're on the waitlist and have certain classes completed you can then apply to the CEP program. It's for those who have not yet started a nursing program.

For those accepted for CEP fall 2013 do you know when orientation will be? I Have completed my background check but not sure if I should register for a CPR class now or wait till I get the packet?

jjanous,

Orientation at GCC is on July 10th. You can take your CPR anytime between now and then. Those of us who started this last Spring semester are excited for you all to start! Congrats and see you in July!

I never did an application, yet I had an admissions person e-mail me saying for me to attend a session this month. He said I could just show up and see what it was all about, then figure out what I needed to do to get in.

Hi

Do they want you to attend the Information session? Once you go to one of those I believe they are good for about a year. Are you trying to apply for the CEP program?

Hi everyone! I was just wondering what suggestions anyone may have about studying for the Hesi exams! What methods did you guys use? How rigorous is the exam?

Also, I would really appreciate knowing how long it took most of you to receive your acceptance letters to the CEP/NAU cohort! Thanks! :)

At this point, are there any people with 3.0 or close GPA's getting into the CEP program? I'm hearing the lowest GPA's that get in are around a 3.5. I am applying in February to start in the summer of 2013 and want to see what the competition is. Thanks!

I think it all depends on how many people apply to each program at one time. My understanding is that they rank order the applicants by GPA and HESI scores, then go down the list and place people from highest to lowest preference. So if there are fewer applicants during a cycle for a particular program, then you might have a higher chance of getting in. That being said, I don't think 3.0 is extremely competitive, so if you are set on getting into the program and don't get in this cycle, think about retaking a class or two - NAU lets you calculate the retake into your GPA while ASU does not.

Hi freckles! If I applied to the CEP program right now I would have a 3.17. I plan on taking one, maybe two courses that would knock my gpa up to 3.5/3.6 ish if I do not get in. I saw some people posting that they had lower gpas (around 3.10) and still got into the program. So there's always chance!
