Gateway LPN Fast Track - page 10

Verah interesting........ Looks to me like it's a separate application process. Don't know what the wait list is like for it, but for those of you on the waitlist for the RN program, it might... Read More

[quote=xxblessthemartyrxx;3981193]Bad News everyone. I spoke to the PN coordinator and she said they had about 180 new applicants. This is bad because there is only THREE new slots available. I am so upset. I knew my chances of getting in was slim but not this slim. 3 out of 180! She said maybe another ten will drop but that still is a low number. I was hoping that maybe I could get into to Aug of 2011 but she said that looks slim also. They are only accepting 80 slots for that program and 40 are already filled by employers. So chances of getting in for Aug semester are slim too! I worked so hard and spent almost $500 dollars getting everything I needed for this course. My immunizations, cpr, fingerprint clearance card, checkup. They are not sending out letters because there were so many applicants so we will all receive emails instead. I should'nt have got my hopes up I know that. Sorry everyone.

~ My last post I ranted about old applicants who failed re-applying sorry about that I was really bitter. I didn't know your situation so I should

blessthe marty, i guess that pn coordinator isnt all so organized as she made herself off to be. noone even received notification last week, and now it dec 01.

Yeah, I received an email today stating that I am on the "alternate list" which is what everyone else is on who applied. I am bummed out . Maybe I can get in for next semester! I really wish I received a letter though. We all went through a lot to even apply to the program. The least they could have done is actually mailed out a letter with our names on it. If they were going to send out emails, why didn't we receive them earlier? You are right it is Dec 1st.

oh ok so study the core values, gotcha, thanks for the help, but yes the greatest idea was going through this lpn program then easily transfer to the rn program then be in that pool of 2,000 ppl for the block 1 of the rn program, the waiting list is getting there for the lpn program as well, people are catching on, im just soo gratful of getting into the lpn program and starting. all these nursing waitlists were getting me so stressed out.

The catch for the LPN fast track jumping in to block 3 is this, you have to work for a full year as a LPN before you can get into block 3. I'm also trying to get this done faster and the waiting is killing me. I have all my pre reqs done I'm just waiting to get in. If you wanna do your bac you can do that with UofPhx and they only require you to have worked 3mths as an LPN and it's a little more work but it's a way in. Now with the private schools everyone keeps saying that it's so expensive just remember if you can get finicial aid it pays every bit of it so dont worry about the price it pays off in the end making more money then you did before you had your degree.
    Good luck everyone
