U.S.A. Arizona

Hi, I was able to apply for the nursing program a couple weeks ago and got the letter stating my start date was in 2014, yikes! I know that you never wait that long but I was wondering if anyone got in recently-how long you waited? I heard this past spring the wait was about 2 semesters...i hope this is true! :D

Thanks!

I was told 3 years, but it was a year and a half. Get the co-reqs done in the meantime. It makes a big difference.

Thanks for the reply! I have plans to do 2 to 3 co-req classes per semester hoping to drag that part out a little so I'm not left sitting around waiting to get into nursing school. Can I ask when you started the program?

Spring 2012. If I were you, I would take all the coreqs you can so you don't have to worry about it. When school starts, it's a really FULL LOAD.

FYI, other than about 4 days, the Drug calc class is all online.

:yeah:

Good Luck I applied 2 weeks ago too.:yeah:

I applied June 2010 and am accepted for this fall 2011. That is three semester wait. I was on the waiting list as an alternate (I think, top 15). I found out the end of April that fall entrance may be a possibility.

Apply as soon as possible. Make sure the pre-health advisor accepts you and follow through on that. Expect to hear back around a year later. Go to the orientation, do well on your NET (math, anatomy, and reading especially), and take microbiology while you are waiting.

Oops, I mean, HESI, not NET.

That is sooo encouraging!!! Good luck in the program!

I applied for the program in 10-2009 and got seated for the fall of 2012. But I am actually starting Fall 2011, in just a few weeks actually. Talk about stoked....:D

rocky63- congrats! maybe we'll start together :D I'll try to update as I get bumped up the list. Are you still working on your co-req's?

runner25-are you going to Pima or NAU? I was under the impression that Pima didn't have to take the HESI but that there was a 'surprise' exam the day of the orientation that was meant to kinda see where you are with the subjects. Nonetheless, it is encouraging to hear you only waited 3 semesters to get in:yeah:

I will keep you updated as well!! Yes i will be taking writing 102,human developement and business ethics this fall and micro and nutrition next spring. Then I will be done with pre-reqs.
