Chamberlain College of Nursing BSN Program

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hello!! I just joined this site today because I was recently accepted into Chamberlain College of Nursing, I am scheduled to begin classes on March 1st and I was wondering if anyone else is going to Chamberlain and also if anyone has heard anything (good or bad) about this school. I am very excited to start and I think that the most appealing thing about this school is that there isn't a wait list... I applied in August, was accepted in October and I am beginning in March. It is quite expensive but I think (or at least hope) that it is worth it. Also instead of doing the ADN, I have decided to do the BSN, any comments?? Advice?

No go to their website it is not too late they said they are still accepting applications for their Feb start date. Just depends on how fast you can get things going.

In this economy a BSN seems the way to go.

They aren't getting their NLNAC accreditation, they withdrew the application and everyone was informed today. I would avoid this school if you are counting on moving to another state that is picky about getting an education from a NLN accredited school.

They are getting CCNE accreditation which is higher than NLNAC

AZMOM- Did you attend Chamberlain? I am accepted for the July start date but I would like to know more about the school and finding a job after school.... If you did attend can you please give me some info? Thank you sooo much!

i did not attend, but it is actually on my back-up plan right now vs the ADN advanced placement option at the CC level. I am working with admission right now to see how many credits they would accept. However, if I get into a CC program, I will go that route first, mostly just because of the cost.

Hi Kmichalak,

Chamberlain is a very good school. I did my RN-BSN and graduated in 2008. That was my first experience with online program and I enjoyed every bit of it. A lot has been said about the school check page 1 of this thread to have details about chamberlain

I wish you all the best!

They already have the CCNE accreditation, but my point was if anyone is looking to move out of state after graduating to look into your state's hospital requirements. Some hospitals require an education from a NLN accreditted school.. there are many posts on here regarding that precise issue.

Hi Everyone!

I applied for the July 2012 start date. Hopefully will be finding out if I made it in! Crossing my fingers! I got an 88% on my Hesi and my GPA isn't the greatest (2.65), but I have all my pre-req's done and could start semester 4. I have an Associate in Arts, am a CNA, and a EMT-B as well and work in a hospital. Anyone have any sugesstions for me.

Hi Everyone,

I am a new student at the Atlanta Chamberlain campus..we are the first class to go through this program here in Atlanta. I am about to finish my first semester, and it has been incredibly difficult. I have been struggling with my Pathophysiology class and was wanting feedback from other Chamberlain students who have made it through this class. Does the school actually adhere to the 76% cumulative exam score policy to pass the class?? There are several of us who it does not look like we will make this score. Our grade in all of our projects, case studies, etc are A's, but it is this cumulative test score that may cause us to fail the class. Please help...I am beside myself.

Thank you,

Hey AtlantaGoldfish, I have a question for you. I was just accecpted to the Atlanta campus to start in Sept, but I am worried that they are not fully accretided. I know they have to have once class pass the NCLEX, but what if no body does? I know that won't happen, but its scary because the price of the tution. Can you give me any advice on this school? Thanks a bunch.

Hey Jsayers11,

I graduated from Chamberlain in April of 2012 and I can assure you that Chamberlain has the regional accreditation that every employer looks for. I too, was worried about the accreditation and pass rate of the first class, but as I saw, the first class had a 100% pass rate, and subsequent pass rates have been substantially high as additional cohorts have graduated. I passed my NCLEX with 75 questions and not one person that I know of, and I knew quite a few people, failed the NCLEX. Make no mistake, new campuses have their ups and downs, but so does the profession of nursing and adaptivity is key to success in nursing, so a word of advice, become active in change and become a leader for the new campus and your peer group! Please feel free to contact me for any additional questions or concerns!

Hey everyone,

Is anyone starting the Phoenix program in October? I have a 3.0 and I have not taken the Hesi yet. My gpa is low because of my first year of college but I got straight A's after my first year. Im worried that I will not be accepted because I did not do very well at first. Did anyone get accepted with a "not so great" transcript? Thanks everyone!
