ASU Fall 2010 Hopefuls

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Ok gang, now it's our turn to start sharing information, tips and score ranges for those applying to the ASU (Arizona State) upper division nursing program for the Fall 2010 semester.

With the new TEAS testing requirement, I'm not sure we can apply to our situation the historical score ranges from the past (when they had to take the NET) so let's all share information and support for those of us applying for advancement.

I took the TEAS today got an 85.3% composite score. Both the program and national percentile scores were 98%. I'm applying with a 4.0 GPA. If this was a NET score submission for the Spring 2010 semester, I'd be right on the bubble. I'm wondering how others are scoring on the TEAS and if anyone's heard of any nuances in the application of those scores to our overall advancement scores. I'm under the impression that the Program Percentile score is pretty important as it is the ranking within our program exclusively - does anyone know if that is correct or not?

I recall that there will be only 60 advanced into the upper division program this Fall so I know the competition is going to be stiff.

If anyone has any information regarding scoring, numbers applying, numbers to be advanced, etc, please share! It's a long way off until they let us know where we stand - It will be nice to have a forum where we can bounce off one another.

By the way, I made a note of how many views there were of this thread earlier - since noon, over 100 have checked it out - we're all on pins and needles, so if anyone has any info, please share!!

Please refrain from posting misleading information.

Awww man :( I spent all day at work trying not to think about the very low probability that I would find a letter from ASU in my mailbox when I came home. Then when I didn't, I thought maybe somebody here would know something. Oh well...hopefully we will all know the cutoff scores tomorrow!

Ryonaki -

I think I'm speaking for everyone here - HUH?

:nurse:

Remember that Ryonaki also stated that he knew of "30 people with 4.0's and 87% TEAS" but never backed up that statement either. Take it with a grain of salt. We should all know by the end of the week. Good luck to everyone!

Hey guys! expect the letter tomorrow :yeah: it will be mailed today. Don't expect the cutoff to be low:nurse:. Have a nice day:redbeathe

Unbelieveable.........

Hey Ryonaki!

Quit acting like you have a clue what the cut-off will be! Sure, we all know the letters were mailed out today, so there is a good chance we'll get them tomorrow. However, there is no way that you know what the cut-off will be or how many people scored over an 87 with a 4.0. Please, give it up! Since you are the smartest person probably applying to ASU's nursing program (according to you), why don't you just go to Harvard Medical School instead?:D

Hey no need for the smart comment! How do I know all of these info? cuz I have been contacting people and advisors. I just wanted to share with you guys! Don't be ****** off because you are afraid you wont get in. You are not alone ok? so we will see tomorrow! best of luck :nurse:

I know tensions are running high, but there is no reason for everyone to become catty. We will know the cut off scores soon, so relax people!

Sorry for losing my cool Ryonaki. However, I'm NOT scared about getting in... if I do get in, I'll have to quit my high paying job and find full time daycare. Although, being a nurse is what I want to do, it's not going to bring in near as much money as I currently make, so if I don't get in... I'll be just fine. :D Good luck to you too! I'm too old to worry about spilled milk.

So if the advisors won't tell us the cut off until the letters are mailed, and the letters are being mailed today, does that mean we still have a chance to find out the scores if we call later on today?
