wait doesn't school start the 19th of january or does nursing start a different date than the rest of the school. my sheet says the math is on the 11th and 13th. I was hoping that was before regular school starts. I think I will do the math and the semester long class. They both seem really helpful.

unfortunatly it wouldnt help to know ahead of time, they switch the books w/new editions every run I think, so there is no guarantee that the books I will need will be the books you need. So i can post it if you want but I wouldn't reccomend buying yet until you are in because its a huge cost (even if used) and you dont know if they will use the same ones.

Ok some additional info for any looking. The school registered me, the NUR104 class is a semester long, one hour on fridays after class. It is suppose to focus in on what to study from what was just taught. The schedule looks like this so far: Friday 7am to 11am lab, 11 to 12 break, noon to 3:30pm lecture, 3:35 to 4:45 NUR104 study class. Saturday 7am to 12:30 lab (this is thru february then it looks like saturday change because of clinicals) it will be friday the same and then saturday 6:30 to 1:45 off site at hospital. The tuition is $938 (thats for the math class and study class) there is also a $100 class fee (included in $938), so with books and tution its $1556. Then you need to budget in uniform, stethoscope, watch, school supplies. Hope this info helps anyone that was dying for details as I was!

I'm in the 2nd block of the weekend program. I took the 104 class both semesters and I found it does help to cement the concepts that we were learning. More so in block 1 than block 2. I was glad I took it.

I had a question about the Glendale weekend program. I understand the classes are on the weekends, right? Are the practicals all scheduled on weekends too?

What you don't know about the GCC weekend program going in is that in Block 2 (and possibly the other blocks) is you have to go to the hospital on Thursday afternoon/night to pick your patient and do your care plan. I'm luckier than most, I only work til 1300 on Thursdays....Its a time crunch for sure, I made sure my daughter is entertained on Thurs nite.

I'm sorry if I'm dense, but you're saying all the classes and practicals are scheduled on Friday and Saturdays?
