I don't know a thing about the alt. list. I just got my contract from TMC on Friday! Can you believe that?! They say the reason they were about a month and a half behind the other hospitals in doing this is because they were writing up a new contract and trying to get away from the "generic" contract that the other two hospitals were using. Tell me why I received that same "generic" contract after all that time? I kept bugging them and was informed the would be in email on the 6th, didn't receive it, bugged them again, was told they would be snail-mailed now on the 11th, and still didn't get it! I called on the 15th and was told that it was put in the mail on the 14th. All that time and they managed to miss some paperwork in the packet, so they had to email that to us later. So many delays and so much disorganization. I really hope this doesn't reflect what I will have to deal with in the next 4 or so years!

Anyways, I noticed on the email list there were only 7 people who received it, including myself. I think I remember TMC accepting 8 students, but don't quote me on that. If I'm right, maybe one of the TMC students dropped out?

My question is how is the pay? Is it the normal starting rate for new rns, what does that run in Tucson?

Dollar Re: FREE TUITION - FREE BSN - University of Arizona
I was in the class that graduated in August and was under contract with Carondelet. The starting pay is between $24.00 to $26.00/hr. TMC started their people out at $24.00 and I think that UMC is closer to $26.00. Carondelet was paying about $25.00 but that doesn’t help since they cancelled their contract with the 40 students that they sponsored. Not sure what North West is paying.
