On-Call positions...SHC employee?

Hi everyone!

I have an interview at Scottsdale Healthcare on Monday for an on-call position. I was just wondering if anyone knows if on-call positions can get into the employee pool for the Scottsdale Community College RN program. I know the position would exclude me from financial assistance and insurance benefits and whatnot, but that's okay with me. I just want to get into the employee pool!

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
MacKenzie

Unfortunately no, on-call positions do not qualify you for the SHC program. At least it they didn't this past summer when I interviewed for an on-call position. You have to be full time or part-time in a benefitted position. I had the same idea as you did.

However, if you are lucky enough to get the on-call position, you could eventually transition into a full-time if an opening comes up.

Good luck!
