I have had issues with the hospital attempting to mandate changes imposed on the inpatient care team to include outpatients because they want everything standardized and there is truly little information regarding outpatient regulations.
It would be foolishly time consuming to do a lengthy skin assessment on a patient whom will be in the facility maybe 30-60 minutes....just my 2 cents worth.
Kathy - Jun 16, '05 by ssi9699we ask the patient if they have any history of skin problems, such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, etc. and if they currently have any sores, cuts, rashes, bruises, etc and investigate based on their responses.
