Rude nurse....

Last Christmas my brother gave me a Nurse's calendar full off funny nursing stories and tales. This was yesterday's. I know this should be in the nursing humor forum, but this one is particularly close to the heart of any office nurse. We can ALL identify.

An elderly woman telephoned her son and said, "I called the doctor's office this morning and when I spoke to the nurse she was so rude to me, I just couldn't believe it."

The bewildered son phoned the nurse and demanded an explanation.

"I sincerely apologize," the nurse said. "Have you ever had one of those days? At the moment your mother called there were two patients screaming at me, an insurance company on the other line and one of the other nurses had just dropped a urine sample on my shoe. When your mother asked how to use a rectal thermometer, I just blurted out the first thing that came to my head." :rotfl:
