Default Re: preop assessments
on the day of surgery the anesthesiologist for each patient listens to lung sounds; in pre op we do a set of routine vitals- no rhythm strips, etc. but all patients over 50 or w/heart history have EKGs prior to DOS.

Question: We have an anesthesiologist and CRNAs in our center. Does a nursing assessment need to be be performed by an RN or can the CRNA perform the pre-op nursing assessment? Is this a duplication of services?
