PRE-OP PHONE CALLS IN SDS

I WORK IN AMBULATORY SURGERY AS AN R.N. AND ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE PRE-OP CALLS TO GET THE MEDICAL HISTORY AND NECESSARY TESTS/EKG'S FOR PTS BEFORE SURGERY. THE FRONT OFFICE HAS ASKED THAT WE ALSO INCLUDE THE INSURANCE INFORMATION AND REQUIREDPAYMENTS/DEDUCTIBLES NECESSARY TO HAVE SURGERY. I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE DOING THIS .(THEY FEEL IT WOULD MEAN ONLY ONE PHONE CALL INSTEAD OF TWO AND SAY SOME PTS COMPLAIN ABOUT ALL THE PHONE CALLS). PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOUR CENTER DOES,HOW IT WORKS, AND YOUR PERSONAL THOUGHTS AND SUGGESTIONS.
