I am interested in finding out what other ASCs are doing for pain med standing orders for peds and adults. Are you given a choice of meds - Fent, Morphine, Demerol, or do you have one listed and then need to check with the anesthesia staff to change and write the order. If you have a copy of standing orders you could email or fax I would appreciate it. email- [email protected] or fax at 913-754-3615. Thank you for your help.

We don't do peds at my facility. We have a standard sheet and the anesthesia checks off the drugs they want with the option of adding those not posted. They sign the bottom. It includes anti emetics, o2 therapy, warming device etc. Most often for pain we use fentanyl and dilaudid and vicodin for oral. zofran and anzemet for nausea. We are a very small center and do mostly orthopedic cases

I don't have a copy of the orders to send you sorry.

Thanks for your reply, I think that we will be going to the boxes for anesthesia to check.
