Local Ambulatory Care Nursing Networks- is there such a thing?

I work in a large clinic, which is located in a large professional building with other physician's offices. I have asked around, but apparently there is no type of local organization for nurses working in this setting. I think it would be nice to have one, with monthly or quarterly meetings to network, get to know each other a little, and discuss issues that are common to our jobs. I often wonder how other office nurses handle certain situations, etc. Is anyone aware of such an organization in other cities and if so, what are your thoughts about them- do you think they're useful or helpful?
