ineffective management

I'm hoping someone out there has some suggestions for me. I'm an RN in a physician office. I'm the only RN, and the team leader of the nursing staff (which is made up of one RN and the rest MA's) is an MA. She does not have adequate medical knowledge or clinical skills, and no leadership skills. She comes to me with problems. It bothers me every day that I am required to report to her and have my performance evaluated by her. I live in a small town where nursing jobs are scarce, and the docs I work for are wonderful people. I want to stay at this job, but cannot tolerate this situation much longer. Any ideas on how to approach the docs w/ my concerns? help!!
