by HippyDippyLPN Sep 16, '12I have deaf family members and know ASL but not enough to be used as an interpreter in the clinic I work at. I really love ASL and could defintely incorporate this with my nursing degree but I need to improve. I do not know any medical signs and I am better at speaking it than reading it if that makes sense. So for those who are an ASL interpreter is there a cert program you went through instead of an actual associates? I do not have the available time to commit to a degree but could to a cert program if it was not lengthy as I do not need the basics I just need intermediate to advanced.
