Has anyone taken this exam recently? I just registered for it. I don't have the newest study materials but do have the previous ones which have been loaned to me from a coworker. Any ideas what is included in the newest study materials that would be missing from the previous materials?

I really can't afford to buy the newest materials. The test is expensive! Any advice on taking this test is appreciated.

When you take the test you sign an agreement to not discuss what is on the test. I took it in November and passed on my first try. My advice is to read everything you can get your hands on, and remember that ambulatory care encompasses more than just family practice.

Thank you for your response. I didn't realize anything was signed regarding discussing the test but it makes sense. I did order the new book and study questions but dont have them yet. What study materials did you use? Did you use the new book and study questions? I am trying to read everything I can by looking at the test content outline on ANCC.

I used Core Curriculum for Ambulatory Care Nursing, 3rd edition. I think that is the newest edition. I think though, my experience in working in ambulatory care was the greatest help, but then I work with a doctor who very much uses evidence based practice every day, and I've learned quite a bit from him.
