Got another "we miss you" type email. Same one as I posted before. I'll let you all know if I get any others tomorrow or after.

Still got 2 emails (same time stamps for both) for a PM I received. Glitch not fixed completely I guess. No biggie, because before I was getting dup notification emails, I wasn't getting ANY notifications of PM;s.

Just wanted to let you know that the dup email issues isn't fixed for me yet.

Got a new suggestion. Earlier someone referred to me as an American. Well TECHNICALLY I hold citizenship in America AND Ireland. I have passports from both, family from both, and lived in both. I've lived in America more than other places but nonetheless I am also Irish. The first quarter of my life was not spent in America and the second and third quarter was in and out.

That said... Is there a way we could add MORE than 1 flag by our name???

That way I could show my half foreign side, especially considering my birth place... (Not America )

Thanks for the feedback. The "Last 24 Hours" link is at the top on the yellow bar, bottom line. It should begin with "Welcome, Mimi2RN".
Yes, but. IF YOU AREN'T SIGNED IN, there IS NO "last 24 hr" link. When I'm at work, I don't always sign in. Without that, the site isn't navigable. If it is impossible for ME to use Allnurses at work (because I can't sign in there and there is no "last 24 hr" icon without signing in), then how difficult is it for all other non-members to use this site?

I distinctly remember lurking here for about a month before I took the plunge and signed up. IF I were lurking today, I wouldn't stay, because I can't navigate the site in a general way. Replace "last 24 hr" icon for those not signed in.

Say, I have a complaint here. In the opening post of a thread, there is no personal info about the poster by their name, such as join date, specialty and so forth.

I find, especially join date and post count, useful gauges as to how seriously I can take a questionable sounding post. For instance, I just viewed a new thread here from a nursing student who was considering working in a strip bar in order to make ends meet during nursing school. Now, if I see that she joined in Dec 2008 and this is her first post, that's a red flag to me. But, if she's been a member for awhile and has previously posted, then I'm less suspicious.

I've seen some posters who join and immediately start a titillating thread for their first post, and I will chose not to post on that thread or take the poster seriously until they've proven themselves through wider participations on the forums.

I made the same observation...that the initial thread generated by the OP has virtually no information about them. In fact, there was a thread initiated by a very popular member that I almost bypassed because I saw no data...meaning how many posts, how long a member, etc... I guess FireStarter did it again...made me see what I observe for without even realizing it (thanks, Sparky).
