Nursing is a profession that can have a lasting impact on many people. Your role as a nurse, in whatever field you are in, can make a difference in the lives of patients, families, and communities. We are looking for articles that exemplify the educational, inspirational, and positive aspects of nursing.

Next month is Nurses Day/Week. It is a time when others can express their appreciation to the nursing profession. One of the topics we invite you to write about is Nurses Day/Week. What does it mean to you? What expressions of appreciation have you had that meant a lot to you....not just on Nurses Day, but throughout the year?

Also coming up in May, allnurses will once again be attending the National Teaching Institute & Critical Care Exposition in San Diego. We would like to highlight critical care articles.

Articles can encompass daily work, past experience, education, study tips, technology, etc. With this contest you can write about anything. In the past, we have excluded certain forums from the contest. However this time all nursing forums are open.

Although all nursing topics will be accepted for the contest, here are some suggested topics:

  • Critical Care
  • Appreciation
  • Nurses' Day/Week
  • Personal professional victories
  • Hope
  • Giving Back
  • Student stories

I noticed there was a misspelled word in my article, would it be possible to edit it or just leave it?
