I know you aren't a prophet, but as far as you know are the changes that have been made (and the ones going into affect on the 2nd) the end of the changes, or are there some more modifications planned in the upcoming year?

I have enjoyed this site. And as soon as we have the money I will be sending my $15 in. My husband and I run a small BB. It is costly and time consuming. I think it is fair for certain places to be off limits, if you don't pay.

Let me work this through. Rather than getting a better service for the extra payment, the current ordinary members will get back the options recently taken from them?

I actually moved that post to current events as I felt it was more relevant there. The issue there was not premium status but the fact that until the changes happen on the 2nd, there is still a 50 minimum post limit in current events. That was in place to make sure people focus on nursing first, as opposed to coming here strictly to discuss non-nursing issues. Since the thread in question is now in volunteer/disaster nursing (a good choice, whoever did that) it should be accessible.

The mods do a certain amount of pruning on an ongoing basis that consists of redirecting posts to specific forums. Non-nursing topics that turn up in nursing forums will continue to be moved to appropriate forums after the 2nd. Thanks for your understanding.

Brian is constantly coming up with improvements for the bulletin board as technology and creative minds develop new features! This is not a static bb, but a growing, evolving community.

I guess I was more inquiring about changes like loss of PMing privileges or further restrictions of forums where nonpaying members can post. As I understand the circumstances, these changes were made to pay for keeping this site up. So to word my concern another way...what goes if the actions already taken don't cover the bill? Or is it certain that these new changes are adequate to cover the costs, therefore further steps are definitely not going to be necessary?

While looking into my crystal, I do see any other changes in the near future , but, it is too early to make any speculations as there are too many unknowns.

In regards to what changes will be taking effect on the 2nd, I think all the settings have been changed except access to the two non-nursing forums Current events and the Breakroom. Hope that helps answer your questions.

yes, premium members will be able to see who's online, they have the option to be invisible, not showing up the who's online section.
