    First, Happy New Year Everyone!

Second, I have to admit that I am not a fan of the new AN format. In fact, I am being a rebel and posting this in the General Nursing Discussion forum. (Go ahead, move me moderator, move me. ) Sorry, but I miss my "kudos" and I get enough "likes" at Facebook (Or do I?). And this "Cheers" thing...what is that?

I feel as though FB had its identity crisis recently (within the past two weeks) and resembles its predecessor MySpace with its new layout, which sometimes makes me dizzy. And now it seems AN is having an identity crisis too. Sigh. I realize it is the New Year and the need for change and all, but...

Ah, oh well...I'll still be here. :spin:

Other members have expressed your sentiment recommending "Kudos" wording over "Like". Thanks for the feedback, informed IT team.
  6. Totally agree....this feels awkward and I feel lost on this new AN layout!! UGHHH!!
Did they also delete the "Before New Layout" posts?????
Why did they do away with Kudos????
Last edit by sirI on Jan 6, '12 : Reason: removed off-topic wording

Posts that were made between Dec. 15th and Dec. 29th were unavoidably lost. If that's what you mean? All others are there.

    Kudos are now likes.
  8. I'm struggling because when I look at "What's New", I don't see that category anymore along with the thread name. I used to use both to decide if I wanted to investigate further Otherwise, I think the layout looks nice.

forum names will be back - I just need to take care of some of the bigger issue first

  10. Any chance that the member descriptions at the top of each post will be changed? The narrative form is dreadful; I feel like I'm reading two books at the same time. "I've been a member since...I'm from Ohio." Is that really necessary? I'm here to read forums, not each member's biography. Not that I don't want to read about members, but it distracts from the post too much.

You can disable that feature by going to your account, options, edit settings, uncheck Show User Information , save.

Then, if you want to see this info on posts, click the terms, "enthusiast, world class, staff, etc.", the box will open and stay open as long as you are on that page.

When you just hover over those terms, you can see how many posts the member has.

(btw - we are discussing changing those terms, "enthusiast, etc." )
