Hi!!

I hope I get some type of response :uhoh3:....

So has anybody heard of the two new nursing programs that should be starting this summer/early 2012? I heard that Charter College will be having a BSN program and Career Academy is having and ADN program. I think I will apply for the ADN program since my husband and I are only here @JBER till 2013. I was hoping to get a little thread going to keep everyone updated.. I guess I will check back and see if this is of any intrest to anybody besides myself.:nurse:

I am definitely interested! Where did you hear of the programs at? I have been in the lower 48 for the last year and a half but will be back in the Anchorage area this time next year. I will complete my LVN soon but of course want to go higher than that. Tell me more!!!

What state is this school located? Im from Cali looking to get into a program out of here since it is too saturated!

Thanks in advance.

I would be interested in this as well. I know of UAA's RN associates and bachelor's programs, UAF's CNA program and AVTEC's CNA and LPN programs.

Thanks!

I know this thread is kind of old but just thought I'd throw this out there. AVTEC will start offering a 7 month LPN-to-RN bridge program in 2012. They are still trying to work out the details but from what I've heard it will have two start dates (January and August). They are planning on an "experimental" class in April first. Unfortunately, the first few start dates will probably be booked due to overflow from UAA and whatnot. I'm going through the LPN program there right now but will be putting in an application for the RN as soon as I graduate.

That is the best news I have read in along time!! Can one contact AVTEC about this and get information regarding this bridge program? Or is it not that far along in the process yet? Thank you for mentioning this!

I checked the board of nursing website and it looks like its still under review.

Jessica- I am hopefully starting the lpn program there in January. Would you mind if I picked your brain a bit?!?!
