    Hello, I am new to both Alaska and the nursing field. I have been looking for a job in Fairbanks or nearby and I am having no such luck...I am very disappointed in the amount of LPN jobs available here. Do any of you have any advice?

    Try to go to this website: USAJOBS - The Federal Government's Official Jobs Site or ACPOL/CPOL Homepage: Army Civilian Personnel On-Line They allow you to know what places are hiring nurses on the military facilities here. I can't guarantee a job, but it's worth a try.

    try workplace alaska as well. there are some state jobs for LPN's posted, I think.
