Fairbanks Memorial New Grad

Hi I am a new graduate (ASN) with my BS in Human Development and I really want to relocate to Fairbanks, AK as that is where my husband has already moved for work. I have had some friends ask around and they have told me they are hiring new graduates but I keep applying and hearing nothing Anyone work there that has any advice or know of any units that are more likely to hire new grads? I am willing to work in any unit to get my foot in the door. I have even thought of moving up there to volunteer to let them get to know me but some hospitals don't care if you volunteer so it would be counterproductive to move up there only to have to move back. I have seen some threads from 2009 but was wondering what the market was like now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
