Need some help hopeful BSN 2nd Degree

Hello!

I am so excited that I have realized what I want to do with my life, NURSING! Only bad thing is that I already went to school for 5+ years for MIS. I have a BS in Management Information Systems and half of a Masters completed in Library Science. My husband is in the Army and we are stationed at Fort Wainwright, AK. I want to get started on a BSN so that I can join the Army Nurse Corps one day, soon hopefully! I am looking into the AAS RN program at UAF, but hear that it is really really competitive. I am also looking into some distance 2nd degree options, and not really sure where to begin.

Any information about either program would be appreciated!

Since you already have a BS you should look into a BSN in nursing. Sometimes the waiting list isn't as long as for ADN and it might take you three years instead of two. Either way you will be an RN. Good luck. I went through the UAA ADN program and am now working on BSN. Good Luck.
