Question for Huntsville Area Nurses

Hello, I'm looking into going back to school for my RN here soon, and I have a question for those who work in or around Huntsville-

Do any of the hospitals in the area hire new grads for weekend only positions?

I would like to smooth the transition between my current career and new one as an RN, if possible. I would appreciate anyone's comments on this matter. Thanks!

I am only a student, not an actual RN yet - but I work at Huntsville Hospital. I have often looked at the RN job postings on the HH web site, and I always see job ads for weekend nurses. I don't see why being a new grad would necessarily prevent an RN from getting a weekend slot. Sometimes the ads even say "new grads welcome" or something similiar.

Huntsville Hospital usually prefers people with experience to work weekends but I have several classmates that work weekends coming fresh out of nursing school.
