So where are all the Bama folks at??????

Hi Sandi! I am in your class! I am not sure if we have met yet since there are so many students in the class. Good luck next week on your 1st clinical. Mine don't start until Sept 29th.

I found this website over the summer and it has a lot of great information. You are the first current CACC student that I have seen on here.

See you in class!

Hi all, I'm Jacob. I'm in my first semester of the RN program at CACC. I'm 24, married with no kids(just a dog).

BTW, Sandi, I am in your class too. Although, I can't put a face with a name yet because we have so many in the class right now. Good luck with clinicals. You'll do just fine.

Hi Jacob and welcome to the site. It is really good to hear from so many Al. nsg students. I sure hope some of you stay after graduation!:welcome:

Hey there fellow class mates!! I'll help you put a face to a name. I'm the old lady that sits on the first row in the middle in Fundamentals with Nathan. You can't miss the grey hair!! LOL!! I made it through the first clinical yesterday and it wasn't that bad They instructor was great and kind of eased us into the whole process, gave us a tour of the hospital and everything else. I don't have another clinical till October 10th so I'll be scared all over again but then!! :lol2: See you guys in class!! PS. I can't put a face to you two either, say howdy in class so I can know who I am talking too!

LOL.....okay, old Lady #2 here. Just not in your class. Wandered upon the boards a few days ago, I'm the lurking type. I agree with the above post, stay in Alabama, we need some good nurses! It's not "quite" as bad as many on here post, keep your head up, and remember that life comes at you fast, you WILL get hit in the face a few times, but what an absolutely rewarding job we have, inside and out. Best of luck to all. Where's everyone's clinicals?? I work at BMC Shelby.

Welcome to allnurses Notime and I love your name. It says it all doesn't it?.

Ah, another Old Lady here, difference being you have already made it to the finish line and have that glorious piece of paper saying your are licensed!!! I'm just starting out in this game!! LOL! My clinicals are at Coosa Valley in Sylacauga. I'm not sure if they send any of our students to Shelby or not. I do know that a girl in my class works at Shelby though. We do go to Childrens, Russell, Aniston RMC and a few other places but they are trying to ease us into it this semester by letting us have them all in the same hospital since we only have 45 hours to do. On a good note, we had our first Dosage and Calculations test on Friday, and I made 100 on it!! WooHoo for me! One less thing to worry about!:lol2:

That D&C test was a piece of cake wasn't it? ;)

Actually, it was. You would think that a test that is so important wouldn't be a multiple choice test!! I was a little confused!! LOL! Are you in class with me at CACC?

Yeah, you're right...but I'm glad it's mc. That takes a little pressure off.

Have you been studying for the Health Assessment test? I have been trying and don't really know what to study!! I tried just studying what Ms. C. said we needed to know but that seems like a lot is getting left out. They say if you fail the first semester it is usually due to Health Assessment and I don't know about you but I don't want to become a statistic!!!
