Compass Retake or Not?

U.S.A. Alabama

Hey what's up people? I'm getting ready again to apply to Jeff State's nursing program. For the fall semester I had 183 points which was the official cut off; however, I didn't have a transcript sent by UAB to them. Well, the break down of my points are a 92 on compass, A in both A&P 1 and 2, I have taken Math 112 and made a B so I am eligible for the 11 points and also, the 20 points in place of the micro. My question for you guys is...do you think I should retake the compass test to make a higher grade to better my chances of being accepted or leave well enough alone? Thanks for any input!

It can't hurt! And if you dont and for some reason the points are higher then you will be mad at yourself for not taking it. So......I say go ahead and retake the Compass :)

Good Luck!!

Yes, Definately take it again, you will more than likely come up several points, and it can't hurt, they take the highest score of all of the compass test. :clown:

Also you might want to look into another school, Jeff state is ridiculously hard to get into. I am in at Wallace state in Hanceville right now, it is a drive but it is better than wasting my time and semesters trying to get in at JEFF STATE. Just something to think about, if I would have known that I could have gotten in somewhere else so quickly I wouldn't have wated my time taking classes that I made a B in over again.

I have 193 and was told that I'd get in without any problem as long as my application is complete...
