LOL! DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! NOTHING IS EASY ABOUT THIS NURSING PROGRAM IF YOU ARE TAKING IT FULL TIME!!!! They are not playing any games with you for sure. Just know your life as you know it is over and your life needs to be centered on Nursing!!! I have a hard time focusing on all 3 of my classes for focusing on one. I think one is more important when they all are. HEAD IN A BOOK!!! ALL I GOT TO SAY!!! Not trying to scare you just telling the absolute truth so you can prepare yourself! It can be done though!

I have recently applied to Lawson State and I am wanting to get into their nursing program. I start school in January. I know that I have to apply for the nursing school seperately but I am totally clueless about everything. I have read many posts talking about points? What points and how do you get them. I went to UAB around 5 years ago for another major, but had to leave school due to family issues. I am now ready to go back and nothing is the same. Can someone please give me some insight on what I need to do and what to expect? I can never get anyone on the phone at Lawson to ask what all I need to be doing and their website is no help. Should I go ahead and be taking all the math, english, biology and other courses like that my first semester or two there?

Unless you've taken Bio201 and Bio202 before and you are having to retake because it's been more than 5 years since you took A&P, then you have to take BIO201 before you can take Bio202. Just as a sidenote, summer semester is shorter than Fall and Spring, so you have to get the same amount of information in a shorter amount of time. Bio201 isn't bad. Bio202 is very detailed with alot of terminology to learn. Attempting to take both courses during a summer semester would be extremely tough.
