Awesome!! Congrats !! I hear negative things as well but I have also heard the Nursing Program is tough no matter where you go... I know people that have gradated from Gadsen, CACC and JSCC they said it was really really tough. I hear negative about all three of the schools so i guess its inevitable wherever you go..

What Campus are you going to?

I am in my first semester at Jeff State Shelby and it is super hard. But if you are dedicated and disciplined when it comes to studying you will be fine. We have a ton of tests regularly and our next test is on 11 chapters. And that's just for one test. I was accepted to both wallace and jeff state and I have heard from a lot of nurse managers that jeff state nurses are some of the best prepared they've seen. And Shelby has a 100% NCLEX pass rate. So I think all the work is worth it :-) I wish y'all the best and don't stress about the math. They no longer do the kickin out if you make below 90 percent, it's part of your pharmacology average instead. Plus she spent about a month going over all the info for the math test. Don't believe all the horror stories you hear. They will tell you at orientation that everything you hear isn't true! Good luck!!

Thanks FashionistaRN, I have a couple of friends in the program @ JSCC right now and they have said the same thing.. You must be dedicated and disciplined when it comes to studying... I appreciate your feedback. I have heard so many different things about all the nursing programs but I don't believe everything I hear; thank goodness. I will be at Shelby Campus so that's great about the 100% NCLEX pass rate. I am excited, nervous and can't wait!!!

No prob! If ya'll need anything just pm me or whatever. I personally think it's really fun even with all the studying and I definitely think it'll be worth it in the end =) Have fun!

P.S. They do cover pretty much everything in orientation and they'll address a lot of stuff the first day of school too. So don't stress. You have a set schedule for the WHOLE semester they give you the first day of school so you know what to do when!

Yes I got my letter yesterday. Cut-off was 185 for Spring 2010. I'm sad none of my friends made it in. I was pretty sure I would I had 198 in pts but you never know. I'm glad to have it in writing.
