Jeff State Fall '09 Hopefuls??

Weird. I have registered twice with no confirmation. Hopefully we'll be in it together!!

If anyone gets their letter this week PLEASE POST!!!!! and the orientation dates or anything else important in the letter!!! I will be out of town for a WEEK and will not have anyone checking my mail. I will be able to check email....So if the letters come, I will have to TRY to call the advisers. THANKS SO MUCH, good luck all!

Same here!! I applied to Wallace State in Hanceville and got in, but Jeff State is my first choice, so it looks like I'll be going to orientation for it since I won't know if I got into Jeff State or not. Blah. I wish we would know sooner, I won't have time to give up my spot to someone else if I get in.

Hey guys!!! I am currently in the 1st semester at JS. Go ahead and get the Calculate with Confidence book and be learning the calculations. The math tests are hard and I saw a lot of people fail out of the program this 1st semester because they couldn't pass the math tests. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I will gladly answer any of them! Good luck to you all!

I don't know if it is because I started in the summer or what, but we have tests just about everyday. We have at least 3 tests a week. They throw a lot of information at you in a short amount of time. You do have a lot of self-study. I pretty much expected it to be hard, and I had a few friends that had been through the program that told me what to expect. The best advice is to know your stuff! Validations are killer, especially the asepsis. I can't stress the math enough. Again, I will help with anything, just ask! Good luck!

Hey guys. I'm in the JS program & just wanted to let you know one of my instructors said orientation would be the week of July 14th so I'm betting you guys start getting letters tomorrow. I would have loved this info when I was waiting on letters, so I thought I'd pass it along. Both full-time & part time orientations were within a couple of days of each other when I started. Hope you guys hear soon
