First and foremost, Herzing is considered a private school; therefore you will be paying alot of money. I attended Herzing and found out alot of unexpected things along the way. By ways of example, you could have an A++++ throughout the course and if you don't pass the Kaplan final exam at the end of the term, you will fail the entire course. So, bottomline if you are not a good test taker you will not do good at Herzing. The school accepts about 25 students and ends up with only 4 to 5 graduates. They do not have a part time program available, so if you need to work Herzing is not for you.

Also, if you want easy A's in any pre-req classes attend Herzing. All my pre-req classes were open book! Hence why I received straight A's. Piece of advice for anyone who wants to consider Herzing....just go to Florida Hospital, it's alot cheaper and their facilities are top notch. But once you start Herzing alot of your courses will not transfer to other nursing schools.

Good luck!

It doesn't matter where you start nursing school - nursing courses don't transfer from anywhere to anywhere. We started with around 40 and are down to 23 half way through the LPN program. I haven't had ANY open book classes - and in my experience, the open book tests are MUCH more difficult than the "regular" kind. I have had wonderful instructors and actually enjoyed my math and pharmacology classes! It is a good thing that there are so many nursing programs for us as pre-nurses to choose from - not everyone will "fit" in the same program, or learn the same way. And I'm sure that each location of Herzing has its own "vibe" and along with its different sets of instructors, a different learning environment. I wish every one success no matter where they chose to attend!
