Need advice about doing agency work...

by TurnLeftSide Premium Member

So I was thinking that after my surgery, I might want to do some work with an agency. There is one near me that is hiring per diem shifts for an area hospital. Now in my contract, can I have my agency put a stipulation as to the area I want to work in, like "ICU/CCU only"? I just don't want to get sent to med/surg units that I've never worked before. This assignment would be at a small community hospital.

usually you pick and choose.....if it is per shift, you just would nt take what you dont want.....if it is to be treated as a perdiem "pool".....it would seem the same.....YOU select where you will work....

I agree; YOU choose shift, unit, and dates or date. Ask questions durning interview and when called for availability. There test's are usually easy and they may have you fill out a skills check list! Good Luck!!!
