Does anyone know which MD agencies are good employers?? How is the pay and where might they send me?? My background is in med-surg, l+D, mother/baby and home health. I am looking to do once a week per diem in the Baltimore area. Thanks !

Try Contemporary Nursing. I'm very happy with them. I work with a lot of Progressive nurse who are very happy as well. Good luck.

I just started with Progressive, and have (thus far) had no real problems. Part of why I chose them was because they are nation-wide, and therefore available to me if I move.

I have also heard good things about Chesapeake.

Yes Progressive is a wonderful company! I have worked with many different agencies in the past 12 years, and I have had no problems with them whatsoever. I always have concerns about staffing agency's that are nationwide because they tend to not localize. I have had bad experiences with Maxim due to there lack of focus on the worker. Last week I signed up with ICON Health, and will let everyone know what I think.
