Quote from JASVINDER
I got a call day before yesterday from JayKay staffing. They are asking all the info like SS number, DL copy, CPR, LICENCE copy. But I just didn't feel like sending my social security information. I was just wondering if it's worth sending my personal info. Can anyone help please ?
IMO, I would be wary of any
staffing agency that calls you and immediately requests personal information. Especially if you've never had contact with them before and they cold-called you. It may be a legitimate call from that agency...or it may be a scam artist phishing for personal info. And scam artists know that there's tons of nurses looking for work, especially new grads who would be ecstatic for any company to just talk to them.
If you decide to send your info, you do so at your own risk...but I wouldn't do it if it were me.
Either go in person to their office to complete an application, or Google their website (do NOT go to URLs suggested by an unsolicited caller/e-mail) and fill out the application there.
