I have assissted other people and if you need help. feel free to contact me. Be aware it is a lot of work and depends on the type of agency you want to start.
If you are sure of staffing and contracts that is half way there.
Good luck to you.

Thanks for replying to me so prompt..I am interested in starting a nursing agency that provides staffing to under staffed healthcare facilities; ex. hospitals, nursing homes. etc...I would also like to be able to provide care to home patients. I will employ RN's, LPN', & CNA's. I have the Idea and the drive but I am lacking guidance. If you will be so kind to help me structure a plan on how to go about starting this business it would be GREATLY appreciated....no I do not know much about staffing or contracts.

What area in florida as I may be able to advise you on who to contact with regard to contracts.
Then I will get you the website on requirements.
you will need a business plan and all policies and procedures.
If you are able to do those yourself then it will save you a lot of money as you need both clinical and nursing.
If not have some that are good but may need updating.
The other thing is that some contracts require workers comp, while others you can use the 1099 rule.
All this has to be in order prior to contacting the agency for your initial lisensure.

You can pm me if you are still interested and I will give you more specifics
Choose a name first because you need to be incorporated.

I am interested in doing business in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area. I don’t have any policies and procedures in place. I have started writing a business plan but it is a ruff draft. I would really appreciate it if I can see your policies and procedures. I’m currently working on a company name. I have several in mind. I apologize for my lack of business knowledge. Thank you for your patience.

I am looking to start a nursing from home to start also. If you have any good resources can you forward them to me . When I was reading your entry, I felt like it was something I wrote! I had to laugh. Best of luck. Let's keep in touch here and there.
