Have worked agency for the past year - and will continue to do so. I also stayed on as per-diem at my prior hospital. I am blessed to be in the position where my husband earns sufficient benefits, so that was not a concern. By working contingency, I have found so much more freedom to be available for my family, vacation, home repair/construction (my creativity outlet), etc. I was asked recently to consider going back to my prior unit as a manager, but turned it down for the time being to preserve my freedom (besides, my pay would have still gone down - and responsibility way up)
