Am I being realistic?

I am considering going agency in the Kansas City area. I currently have a full time job which I love, but I need more flexiblity in my schedule than my current job offers. I have been an RN for 20 years, but I have minimal hospital experience.

I want something where I can pick my schedule on a weekly basis. I am interested in working nights/weekends/and evenings but days of my choosing each week. I could do hospice, home health, long term care, basic med surg type units. I am not comfortable with the more technical specialties. I am agreeable to working some LTC, but do not want to do only LTC.

Is it realistic to think I could customize my schedule each week? Is the pay difference enough to offset the unpredictablity? I will need a consistent number of hours week to week. Are there off seasons?
