Yeah, it is true, that asking for remarking is very expensive indeed. However, if you are really sure that you have scored higher than the score that you have received, then I would go for it.
I think, we are even in the same situation, since I also need all 7 in every category for one sitting. But, I have score 6.5 in my writing task as well, so, I am still waiting for my remarking result. I keep on praying and hoping that there will be changes.
If you think you deserved a higher score, then I would recommend to go for a remark.
God Speed and Bless! - Jan 4, '12 by bbclondonHi Everybody,
I recently took an ielts test and got L8,R7,W6.5,S6.5, as everybody I need 7 in each section, therefore, I am thinking about remarking as I am confident that I did well enough to get 7 in each. I am just wondering if anybody had score raised in 2 sections, I read many posts where score was raised in one section sometimes writing or sometimes speaking. please share your experience if anybody knows the situation where 2 scores were changed in remarking.
thanks - Jan 4, '12 by spicynoodlesHi bbclondon,
I have read in some forums that both their writing and speaking score were increased. You can usually see those threads in British expat forums.
Good luck and God Bless! - Jan 5, '12 by nursezestDon't worry, prayers can really move mountains. God bless!

spicynoodles likes this. - Jan 5, '12 by skye56Hi..Have anyone from UK had experience with remarking their IELTS. I am planning to go for a remarking as well as it is already my 2nd attempt and still they gave me 6.5 in writing. I have read some threads saying their remarks have increased as well, so I hope mind will increase too. Today, I called my test centre and they say it would take 3 months. I thought it would be lesser since it's in UK. They said it's because they will be sending it to London or even Australia.
Anyway, i'll have mind remarked this week and I hope the rest will keep us all updated with their remarks

as well. - Jan 6, '12 by SavonianI'm also waiting the results of the EOR, have been for almost nine weeks now. It says at the Finnish co-operative's web page that the remarking can take up to six weeks after the Head Office receives the EOR-form.
Wonder how long it takes to mail the paper to England, as the regular mail takes a letter there in three postal days. - Jan 6, '12 by spicynoodlesHi Savonian,
I think it would take 8-10 weeks, I have no idea if it is business days or it includes weekends. Maybe due to long holidays last month, there was no ample time for them to recheck it.
Just pray and God Bless to both of us!
God Speed! - Jan 6, '12 by spicynoodlesHi Guys,
I have received my EOR and unfortunately, it remained the same. Good luck guys. Try and try until we succeed. There is no room for giving up...
