just an update everyone, i have received my acceptance letter from the nursing council of new zealand just today, dated july 13. now i have to look for my own school for the CAP, any suggestions? hehe with sponsorships perhaps? hehe

    to decky and narsemeow:
if you intend to have your cap sponsored, you could apply directly to agencies in NZ e.g. westcoast, enterprise and others.
some offered direct sponsorship for cap and airfare while others would offer reimbursement. but i believe most of the school are full until oct or nov.
i have submitted my application for cap late june and i got the nov slot

im still here in manila decky. since my sched for cap will start on nov, i will leave for nz most probably last week of oct in order to save from further expenses.
i am also under a local agency, but no placement fee.
awww, its sad that you hired an agency here.
my expenses for cap and airfare would be reimburse by my employer after the said program.

hello again appetite, yeah hiring an agency is one costly mistake hehe, but what the heck, they were able to get my approval/acceptance letter and i can't do anything bout it now anyway. may i ask the name of your agency/employer? and what are the other agencies in NZ that can probably help me with my CAP? thanks for the reply!

    Hi guys! New here.
I'm interested in applying for NZ. I currently have 3 months hospital experience and have not taken IELTS yet. I'm planning to review for IELTS. What do i need to do to apply for NZ after I passed my IELTS? IS hospital experience needed? Thanks.

    to teena22:

I do believe that the Nursing Council of NZ requires at least six months of hospital experience (volunteer job is accepted).
I would suggest that you first concentrate passing your IELTS (flat 7 in all fields), and continue your hospital exposure. The NZNC would not accommodate your application without your IELTS.
As soon as you have your IELTS, you can download the application form from the NZNC's website.

    N.B
You could also start gathering all the documents you would need for filing your application .e.g school transcripts, RLE, full syllabus of your nursing program, etc. (check their website for further details)

    Goodluck and be happy!

    Hello everyone!:wink2:

I've been reading this thread for almost 3 hours, hehe. My eyes are now complaining.

I'm also a nurse wishing to work in NZ. and I guess I've had enough from the thread.

Though haven't started with the procedure since I'm having this doubt 'coz I took my BSN for 3 and a half year. . .since I did shift from AB POL SCI after 1 and a half year.I just wanna know is there anyone here who is a shifter, who applied to NCNZ and was approved or denied?

I tried to email NCNZ, but there's no reply yet.
