Texas Service Center Tracker for I-140

World Immigration

Published

Please feel free to post here the date when your I-140 petitions were filed and are handled by this Service Center.

Hopefully, this thread would serve as a tracker or updater on how long I-140 petitions are being approved by this Service Center.

Note: This Service Center is notably much faster than Nebraska Service Center in processing I-140 petitions.

You may post your case status (SRC-xxxx), when it was filed and your Priority Date (PD) if known.

Thank you.

My case was filed June 2008, got an approval Feb 2009. When can I expect to have my embassy interview. Do I get an email notification? Thank you very much

Just means you have now joined the queue for retrogression and have a long wait ahead of your. Current processing times are 2003. When things are moving to your date of June 08 your lawyer will ask you to complete updated DS230 forms until then nothing is going to happen

Thank you very much for the reply. I needed that perspective. I just want to add my thoughts on retrogression...specially for us who are now waiting in line. All we had is hope. In building a plan, hope is a necessary fuel to keep one going. Sometimes its hard to create a goal when you are trying your best to keep the fire burning and there are some people who I understand also gives their respective opinion on matters but in doing so offends or hurts another person.

I have nothing but utmost respect to experienced people here. I am very much aware of what is happening not only in US but all over the world. It is a survival of the fittest challenge. If you have the patience to fall in line and continue with the wait then no one can stop you (that includes me). Sometimes it helps to air your angst or despair here and hopefully somebody with the same plight as you are in will say hello and help you out sort matters. It is just so hard for applicants like me, to just turn my back simply because of an opinion or an observation. I am at the end of the long tail, this is my own battle.

To my fellow nurses...who are also fighting tooth and nail just to hang on and keep the spirit I salute you. It is a very tough fight. May the good Lord continue to Bless US!!!!

Peace

I received letter from NVC stating my case no. ABDxxxxxxx and asking me to send DS230 and affidavit of support together with the required fees it also stated in the letter "any delayed in submitting those documents will result in delaying my immigrant interview date" what is that mean.? I am Filipino national but working here in ABu Dhabi fo long time. Is it more easy to get a visa E3 category in different consulate rather than in Phils embassy ? Is that mean that I have allocated visa already . My PD is Dec 2006. Thanks

I will be surprised if you have a visa as visas have regressed to 2003. If doesn't matter where you live as visas are allocated on place of birth. What does your lawyer say?

Hi Silverdragon, thanks for your quick reply, can you please enlighten me more about and which step I am now. I read a lot of topics and discussion in this site but I want you to tell me direct where I am now. My attorney said just send it tru FEDEX and wait for any news. Thanks

I would just complete the forms as requested. I doubt anything else will happen at the moment but if they are requesting up dated information (which you may find they will ask several times) then send them what they want. Until visas are being processed near your PD you will not get a visa and as previously mentioned processing dates are now 2003 for people from all countries except India and they are processing 2001 for India

Hi just want to ask if E3 visa is different from EB3 visa category mine is E3-skilled workers. Thanks

Are you a Australian citizen? E3 is the treaty visa between US and Australia

E-3 Visa General Information: The E-3 Visa is a new Work Visa category available only to Australian citizens. The E-3 Treaty Professional Visa is a temporary work visa, and is usually issued for 2 years at a time.

E-3 Visa Eligibility Requirements: The term "Specialty Occupation" means an occupation that requires theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge and attainment of a bachelor's or higher degree in the specific specialty (or its equivalent). In order for someone to qualify for the E-3 visa, they must meet these minimum requirements. The definition is the same as the Immigration and Nationality Act definition of an H-1B specialty occupation.

I am wondering I received my Checklist letter from the NVC it shows to my preference category E3-Skilled worker, I am not a Australian and now I am confused because I am supposed to have EB3 visa right? do you think NVC just made a typographical error in my category or my attorney?
