Texas Service Center Tracker for I-140

Please feel free to post here the date when your I-140 petitions were filed and are handled by this Service Center.

Hopefully, this thread would serve as a tracker or updater on how long I-140 petitions are being approved by this Service Center.

Note: This Service Center is notably much faster than Nebraska Service Center in processing I-140 petitions.

You may post your case status (SRC-xxxx), when it was filed and your Priority Date (PD) if known.

glad to hear that you got the approval on the I-140.

But there are a few things that are not making any sense to me at all, RFEs are normally sent to the attorney to obtain, they are not sent to the employer. The I-140 approval is for the job, nothing at all to do with your skills or anything else about you. That is what the DS-230 is for.

And if you are being petitioned for a nursing job actually, then there is no need for proof on your part of being computer literate at all. Sorry, but something is not right here with any of this. Not sure what your employer is up to if they wanted some verification of your computer skills. That is for sure.

But you will have years to get it sorted out. The retrogression is not letting up soon, and only going to get worse for most.

There is not one thing further to do until visas are current and your employer is sent a visa bill. Not one thing at all, and unless the DS-230 actually has the barcode on it, it is only a rough version that the attorney may ask for. It will not be accepted by immigration.

That gives me hope that they are still actively working on cases even though it sometimes seems that nothing is happening. I realize that is only the beginning of retrogression but it is a start in the long process. One step further towards the goal. By the way what state are you coming to ....eventually?

First of all you have to wait for NVC to send the Visa Fee bill first. NVC doesn't send one until your are eligible for further processing and that can be months and months from now.

They only proceed to process if there are available visas or if they anticipate that there will be one in the near months base on the visa bulletin. And when they received the visa fee bill, you have to pray that your case is still eligible for further processing (if your PD is current base on the current VB or very near it) by that time or they will stop further processing. If it still is, you can send the Ds-230 forms upon their signal. This is the stage where the retrogression seems to be the longest.

Right now, if you check the NVC-CP-GC tracker thread we have here, NVC is only continuing processing of those with PDs of Dec. 2005. That is where it stands now. You can deduce for yourself on how long it will take for them to go to a much later PD and not to mention that since it is a step-by-step process, if your agency or lawyer is delayed on sending documents when it is being asked or does not even respond at all then your case can be delayed indefinitely. There are even instances that visa fee bills aren't paid at all and NVC keeps asking for it every year when the nurse's PD becomes eligible for further processing. The eligibility to process comes and goes every year and no respond or delayed respond from agency or lawyer. It is also at this stage where all sorts of excuses are made on why payments or documents weren't sent on time. This is why you will sometimes read people asking why someone with a 2004 or 2005 PD still have their cases in NVC.

hi, there, my I140 has been pending in Texas center. I am just learned Texas center is pocessing I140 with the PD of 08/15/2008 now. my PD is 07/27/2007. i've started worrying about it. is there anyone that has the same issue? should i do something about it?

Did you notice that the most recently posted processing times in Texas (April) are now back from the posted times in (March) and the processing date for nurses is now July 19. I talked to my attorney recently and she thinks that our application may have been sent back to Nebraska so that would be bad news since they are only processing into Feb 15 07. Would be nice to know for sure. But just giving this info since those dates are obviously just a guideline and nothing set in stone. Any action on yours over the last month?

Hi, my case is still pending at this moment. My attorney said he had quite a few cases that were filed around mine that are still pending with the Texas Service Center. I also noticed the pocessing date for nurse is July 16,2007. So I guess I have to wait a little longer.

Still does not matter as one is still under the retrogression. Getting approval on the I-140 and if you are not under the AOS, then you will be waiting. Even with the AOS, there are no visas available at this time.
